About Our Society

Do you want to learn more about orchids?  If so, why not come along to one of our meetings at Panania Diggers Club, 28 Childs Street, Panania.

Meetings are held on the second Monday each month starting in February through to November, 7.30pm – 9.30pm approx.

Members bench flowering plants in various classes each month for an annual point score with prizes, there is a monthly raffle with a variety of orchids to be won.

There is plenty of time for a social chat and get to know other members, occasionally there could be a guest speaker, a selection of photo slides of orchids, a general discussion on orchid culture or questions and answers on problems associated with orchid cultivation.

A Winter Show is held in conjunction with the July General Meeting. A Spring Show is held in September at the Panania Senior Citizens’ Hall. At this show there is a plant stall and advice on growing orchids is readily given free of charge.

Visitors are more than welcome and the Society is always looking for new members.
